Production? Perfect. Mix is solid. Tones are a perfect blend of Telecaster + beats + B3’s + phat snares + classic filer pads. Nothing gets in the way of anything else. Lyrics? So many phrases here that you’ll relate to that you’ll be upset you didn’t think of it yourself. Melody? Ear worm. Vocals? Great delivery on the lead vox, anthemic backgrounds - really, really great. I believe every word this Oregon native is preaching. If this song doesn’t blow up, I’ll be pissed. Seriously.
What I like about his voice is that he does NOT sound like so many other male vocalists out there. He’s found a nice tone - not too twangy, not too forceful - just a smooth delivery and control. Kross is believable.
