Loraine Moxham – “In the Middle”

Loraine kicks off her country career with a solid track about being in the middle of relationship – not between another person – but in the middle stages of the relationship itself.

The track contains a modern sound in terms of instrumentation, and the vocal presentation and topic is right in line with Carly, Kelsea and Hailey Whitters.  It starts with a memory of two kids in high school who only just liked each other.  Now, 10 years later, sparks fly, it’s emotionally scary and she’s somewhere in the middle.  While the couple may not be official, the topic certain is, and it’s a relatable feeling that anyone in love has felt at some time.

The format and structure of the song matches her voice well.  It’s atmospheric.  It rises.  It’s got an LA feel to its brooding production that will hopefully act as a springboard for this SoCal native.

When you dive through her social media, you’ll discover a writer who’s hard at work and not afraid to share her vulnerability.  There’s an Insta post that features an unreleased song of a breakup that hits hard.  She’s got a sponsorship lined up with Breedlove and she’s also shot the video for “In the Middle.”  She’s done a good job of posting covers (always a good way to get followers) and is not afraid to be brutally honest.  We hope her career continues to grow.
