Metalcore & Melody with “Grounded”

Metalcore & Melody with “Grounded”

Fresno has long been an underground source of quality artists. Let’s Go Bowling, Steve White (saxophone), Baeza, we could go on…. It’s time for an artist to break the mold and show that it’s more than just a great spot to play gigs between LA & the Bay Area - we think Note of Terra stands a decent chance at doing just that.

This is metalcore with melody and great time signature changes. These dudes know what the hell they are doing. Think Linkin Park + SOAD + All That Remains with a hint of prog rock.

The Production is flawless - great mix. Perfect tones for the genre, with the right influx of sampled sounds. All of the vocals are on point - from the melody and harmony of the clean voice, to the metalcore lines and choir-like backgrounds. Sonically, it starts off with a vibe that has us thinking of SOAD and an acoustic vibe, and then it punches you in the face with a heavy riff that feels like alternative time signatures (we are still debating that amongst ourselves over here, whatever, it just rocks).

The first release of this quintet came in 2021. If they are this far along with just their second EP, this band stands a chance of making it huge. Hopefully they’ll keep our heads banging for a long time. Make sure you check out their Facebook page for their shows - they’re out gigging quite a bit.
