Smooth sounds delivered with “More”

NuChoyce is a DC based writer, producer and choreographer with 3 singles released, and several album credits to his name.  He’s got a smooth R&B delivery with Maxwell vibes, as well as the ability to deliver a solid, straight up pop vibe.  “More,” is a solid example of that, it’s a great love song about creating a legacy between two lovers. Here’s our review.

The track starts with ambient guitar riffs and a dissonant, diminished descending chord progression that is out of the ordinary.  Dig it - you only see those types of progressions in the Real Book.  Drums drop in in the first verse and then there’s a nice little guitar break before the chorus comes in with some very well produced backgrounds that fill out the space. Love the bass line here, too.  Does only what is needed - doesn’t brag - doesn’t overplay the space.  The background vocals are really the star of this section - and such a beautiful compliment to the song (how many hours of tracking did THEY take?!).  With the second verse, the drums drop out for the first half to build a beautiful section of just the chord progression and those lush vocals.  Coming back in, they help set the stage for a repeat of the chorus and wonderful additions to the mix. Then a nice cool down to come to a soft landing.  Such a sensual and warm track - kudos to all involved in this one, we love it.

There’s a beautiful lyric video for this up on his YouTube channel, and his SoundCloud account has an even larger catalog of his work (see the links below).  Reviewing his social media it's pretty clear he’s got his hat in quite a few creative rings, and why not - he’s got the skills to back it up.  “More” is a great track, and we look forward to what he’ll be doing next!
